Grant Engineering, Inc., on behalf of Linda Claytor, has requested the vacation of these alleys to be replatted with the adjoining property in order to consolidate the land for sale to a future developer within the Near Southside. The City Plan Commission recommended approval of these requests at its meetings on October 28, 2015 and June 24, 2017. An acceptable final plat (FS-16-157) has been received in accordance with the Subdivision Ordinance.
The City of Fort Worth (City) originally obtained the above mentioned right-of-way through platting process. The City does not possess any fee interest in the right-of-way or own any property adjacent to the right-of-way and did not expend any City funds to purchase the right-of-way in fee or by easement. In accordance with the City's policy regarding street and alley vacation transactions approved by the City Council on March 6, 2007, Mayor and Council Communication (M&C G-15624), Staff recommends waiving the fair market value or any portion thereof of purchase price of the right-of-way easements for the alley.
This project is located in COUNCIL DISTRICT 9, Mapsco 77J. This M&C does not request approval of a contract with a business entity. |
