Contest a Parking Citation

  • The Registered Vehicle Owner (RVO) or Operator (of the vehicle), charged with a parking violation, has the right to an in-person instanter hearing within twenty-one (21) calendar days from the date of the citation.
  • The RVO or Operator may contest the citation, online, if it is within seven (7) calendar days from the date of the citation.
  • An online hearing is an official hearing and the hearing results are binding. All testimony and evidence is required to be submitted at the time the hearing is entered. There will not be another opportunity to submit further evidence.
  • By contesting a citation through this on-line tool, the right to an in-person hearing before a hearing officer is waived.
  • If dissatisfied with the Hearing Officer's decision, the RVO or Operator can appeal, to the Municipal Court, by filing a petition not later than the thirtieth (30th) day after the filing of the Hearing Officer's order.
    • The petition must be filed with the Clerk of the Municipal Court. A cash bond must be posted for each parking citation along with an administrative fee in the amount of ten dollars ($10.00) for each citation and any other costs required by law for municipal courts.
    • If the appeal is successful, the fine(s) are refunded (with the exception of the administrative fees).

I knowingly waive my right to testify before the hearing officer and request a review of the stated facts and any evidence submitted. I certify this to be a true and accurate record of the facts.   Accept:
