Citations Request Terms

Before proceeding any further, the defendant understands that he or she is being charged with a misdemeanor offense.

The defendant understands that he or she has the right to:

• Plead not guilty and require the State to prove guilt beyond a reasonable doubt.
• Requesting a Bench or Jury Trial indicates your plea of Not Guilty.
• Hire an attorney.
• Remain silent.
• Subpoena witnesses.
• If foreign national, the right to access his or her consulate.
• Requesting Defensive Driving, Deferred Disposition, Compliance Proof, Community Service, or Time Payment Plan indicates your plea of No Contest, waiver of Trial by Jury, and waiver of right to an attorney.
