On July 2018, the Public Events Department submitted a request to rent tractors using Choice Partner Contract No. 17/052CG-12. The Park and Recreation Department (PARD) was later added to the agreement to rent zero turn mowers and parts. In 2019, PARD anticipates spending approximately $70,000.00 to rent additional zero turn mowers to assist with ground maintenance through the City. The remaining amount of $30,000.00 is requested to ensure that funds are available for additional rentals.
COOPERATIVE PURCHASE - The Purchasing Division will use Choice Partner Contract No. 17/052CG-12 to rent equipment and purchase items as allowed. State law provides that a local government purchasing an item under a Cooperative Purchasing Agreement satisfies state laws requiring that the local government to seek competitive bids for purchase of the items. Choice Partner contracts have been competitively bid to increase and simplify the purchasing power of government entities.
M/WBE OFFICE - M/WBE goal is not assigned when purchasing from an approved purchasing cooperative or other public entity. AGREEMENT TERMS - The current term of this Agreement will expire on November 28, 2019. RENEWAL OPTIONS - The Agreement may be renewed at the City's option for three additional one-year terms if Choice Partner renews its contract. This action does not require specific City Council approval provided that the City Council has appropriated sufficient funds to satisfy the City's obligations during the renewal term. Staff anticipates that the costs for renewal years shall remain approximately the same as the first year. |
