It is recommended that the City Council adopt the attached appropriation ordinance increasing estimated receipts and appropriations in the Water and Sewer Capital Projects Fund in the amount of $65,992.00 from available funds for the purpose of funding the Large Diameter Pipe Bursting ICAP Contract 2018 at various locations within the City (City Project No. 101339). |

DISCUSSION: | ||||||||||||
On May 8, 2018, Mayor and Council Communication (M&C C-28679), the City Council authorized the execution of an Engineering Agreement with Brown and Gay Engineers, Inc., in the amount of $445,777.00 for the preparation of plans and specifications for Design of the Large Diameter Pipe Bursting ICAP Contract 2018 at various locations within the City (City Secretary Contract No. 50764). The additional appropriations provided in this M&C will fund costs associated with proposed Amendment No. 1 to that contract in the amount of $65,992.00 to provide additional design to upsize an existing City of Fort Worth 33-inch sanitary sewer main, located on Thomas Road, which is within the City of Haltom City, to a 48-inch main, prior to Haltom City's reconstruction of the roadway. The project is located in ALL COUNCIL DISTRICTS. This M&C does not request approval of a contract with a business entity. |

FISCAL INFORMATION/CERTIFICATION: | ||||||||||||
The Director of Finance certifies that upon approval of the above recommendation and adoption of the attached appropriation ordinance, funds will be available in the FY2019 capital budget, as appropriated, of the Water and Sewer Capital Projects Fund. The Fiscal Year 2019 Water Operating Budget includes appropriations of $35,856,873.00 for the purpose of providing Pay-As-You-Go funding for Sewer Capital Projects. After this transfer for Fiscal Year 2019, the balance will be $23,347,541.00.
