The project provides for the reconstruction of Bonds Ranch Road from the US 287 Northbound Frontage Road to the re-aligned Shire Meadow Drive roughly 1,100 LF east of the Northbound Frontage Road. The roadway will be reconstructed from a 2-lane asphalt roadway to a 4-lane concrete divided roadway with multi-lane roundabouts at the Northbound Frontage Road and Shire Meadow intersections
The project was advertised in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram on June 21, 2018 and June 28, 2018. Jackson Construction Ltd. submitted the only bid:
Proposal Opening: 7/19/2018
Alt. 1 Bid
The project bid consists of a base bid and one alternate. The Base Bid included all elements necessary to construct the project. Bid Alternate 1 requested bid pricing for constructing an additional hooded left turn lane and driveway opening. Staff recommends awarding the contract to Jackson Construction Ltd., with the contract amount consisting only of the Base Bid. Analysis of the submitted bid was determined to be similar to other recently bid transportation projects.
Funds for this project are included in the 2018 Bond Program. Available resources within the General Fund will be used to provide interim financing until debt is issued. Once debt associated with the project is sold, bond proceeds will reimburse the General Fund in accordance with the statement expressing official Intent to Reimburse that was adopted as part of the ordinance canvassing the bond election (Ordinance No. 23209-05-2018).

Construction is anticipated to commence in October 2018 and be complete for final acceptance within 300 calendar days.
