SUBJECT:   Accept Award and Adopt Appropriation Ordinance Increasing Estimated Receipts and Appropriations in the Grants Operating Other Fund in the Amount of $5,000.00 for the Fire Department's Payment from the Fleetwood Memorial Foundation Fund (ALL COUNCIL DISTRICTS)
RECOMMENDATION:

It is recommended that the City Council accept the award and adopt the attached appropriation ordinance increasing estimated receipts and appropriations in the Grants Operating Other Fund in the amount of $5,000.00 for the Fire Department's payment from the Fleetwood Memorial Foundation Fund.
 
DISCUSSION:

To meet the needs of the Fire Department, a purchase of strength training equipment is proposed to enhance physical fitness of personnel and prevent injuries while engaged in emergency response and training activities.

This M&C will create a Fire Fleetwood Memorial Foundation Fund project in the Grants Operating Other Fund with $5,000.00 in allocations.

The Fire Department will be responsible for the oversight and management of this project.  This Grant will not result in any indirect cost revenue.

This project will serve All Council Districts.

This M&C does not request approval of a contract with a business entity.
 
FISCAL INFORMATION/CERTIFICATION:

The Director of Finance certifies that upon approval of the above recommendations and adoption of the attached appropriation ordinance, funds will be available in the Grants Operating Other Fund. This is an advance Grant.
