SUBJECT:   Authorize Execution of Amendment No. 1 to City Secretary Contract No. 50635, an Office Space Lease Agreement, with Orbital ATK, Inc., to Change the Lessee Name from Alliant Techsystems Operations LLC, a Wholly Owned Subsidiary of ORBITAL ATK, INC., to Alliant Techsystems Operations, LLC, a Wholly Owned Subsidiary of Northrop Grumman Innovation Systems, Inc., and to Modify the Office Space Square Footage from 1,488 Square Feet to 1,303 Square Feet, at Fort Worth Meacham International Airport (COUNCIL DISTRICT 2)

RECOMMENDATION:

It is recommended that the City Council authorize execution of Amendment No. 1 to City Secretary Contract No. 50635, an Office Space Lease Agreement with Orbital ATK, Inc., to change the Lessee name from Alliant Techsystems Operations LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of ORBITAL ATK, INC., to Alliant Techsystems Operations, LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of Northrop Grumman Innovation Systems, Inc., and to modify the office space square footage from 1,488 square feet to 1,303 square feet, at Fort Worth Meacham International Airport.

 
DISCUSSION:

On March 27, 2018, Mayor and Council Communication (M&C C-28645), the City Council authorized City Secretary Contract  No. 50635, an Office Space Lease Agreement with Orbital ATK, Inc. (ATK) at Fort Worth Meacham International Airport, for Suite 110, and consisting of approximately 1,488 square feet of office space.  The Lease is a year-to-year lease that automatically renews for successive renewal terms of one year.  

ATK has requested a Lease name change from Alliant Techsystems Operations LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of ORBITAL ATK, INC., to Alliant Techsystems Operations, LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of Northrop Grumman Innovation Systems, Inc.  All other information, signatory, address and contact information will remain unchanged.

As a result of the square footage modification, Northrup Grumman will now pay annual rent for the Office Space, the sum of $20,848.00, at a current rate of $16.00 per square foot, payable in equal monthly installments of $1,737.33.

All other terms and conditions of the Lease shall remain in full force and effect.

The property is located in COUNCIL DISTRICT 2.

 
FISCAL INFORMATION/CERTIFICATION:

The Director of Finance certifies that approval of this Agreement will have no immediate material effect on City funds.
