Adopt Resolution Authorizing Execution of a Multiple Use Agreement with the Texas Department of Transportation for the Construction and Maintenance of Roundabouts Along US Highways 81/287 Frontage Roads at Bonds Ranch Road and Harmon Road (COUNCIL DISTRICT 7).

It is recommended that the City Council adopt the attached Resolution authorizing execution of a Multiple Use Agreement with the Texas Department of Transportation for the construction and maintenance of the roundabouts at US Highways 81/287 Frontage Roads and Bonds Ranch Road and Harmon Road.

In partnership with the Texas Department of Transportation, roundabout intersection improvements have been constructed at US Highways 81/287 frontage roads with Bonds Ranch Road and Harmon Road to improve safety and increase capacity. As part of the 2018 Bond Program, additional capacity improvements are programmed for these intersection by expanding the configuration to provide two-lane roundabouts. As part of these improvements, the City of Fort Worth will manage the operation of these intersections as well as provide maintenance responsibility of the facilities. This Multiple Use Agreement formalizes the maintenance responsibility of the City. The State will maintain ownership of the right-of-way.

The intersections are located in COUNCIL DISTRICT 7.

This contract will be with a governmental entity, state agency or public institution of higher education: (Texas Department of Transportation).
