SUBJECT:	Adopt Appropriation Ordinance in the Amount of $2,500.00 for Increased Project Management Costs for the Sanitary Sewer Rehabilitation Pipe Enlargement Contract 2008A Project at Various Locations Throughout the City of Fort Worth (ALL COUNCIL DISTRICTS)

RECOMMENDATION:

It is recommended that the City Council adopt the attached appropriation ordinance increasing estimated receipts and appropriations in the Water Capital Fund in the amount of $2,500.00 from available funds for the purpose of funding the Sanitary Sewer Rehabilitation Pipe Enlargement Contract 2008A Project. (City Project No. C01017)

DISCUSSION:

On March 3, 2009, Mayor and Council Communication (M&C C-23384) the City Council authorized City Secretary Contract No. 38370 with William J. Schultz, Inc. d/b/a Circle C Construction Company, in the amount of $1,000,000.00 for Sanitary Sewer Rehabilitation Pipe Enlargement Contract 2008A .

On June 14, 2011, (M&C C-24982) the City Council authorized the first renewal to City Secretary Contract No. 38370.

On May 7, 2013, (M&C C-26241) the City Council authorized the second and final renewal to City Secretary Contract No. 38370.

Additional funding for project management is required in order to close out the contract.

The project is located in ALL COUNCIL DISTRICTS.

This M&C does not request approval of a contract with a business entity.

FISCAL INFORMATION/CERTIFICATION:

The Director of Finance certifies that upon approval of the above recommendation and adoption of the attached appropriation ordinance, funds will be available in the current capital budget, as appropriated, of the Water Capital Fund. The Fiscal Year 2018 Water Operating Budget includes appropriations of $29,069,236.00 for the purpose of providing Pay-As-You Go funding for Water Capital Projects. After this transfer for Fiscal Year 2018, the balance will be $16,902,738.00.
