RECOMMENDATION:

It is recommended that the City Council authorize the rejection of all bids received for Water and Sanitary Sewer Main Relocations for the Trinity River Vision – Central City Project and the Trinity Uptown Service Area Phase 3 – Segment A, Water and Sanitary Sewer Relocations, Part 10 and Grand Avenue Bypass Storm Drain, Part 3.

DISCUSSION:

On June 16, 2016, the City of Fort Worth received the following bids for the construction of Water and Sanitary Sewer Main Relocations for the Trinity River Vision – Central City Project and the Trinity Uptown Service Area Phase 3 – Segment A, Water and Sanitary Sewer Relocations, Part 10 and Grand Avenue Bypass Storm Drain, Part 3 (City Project No 00969).

Due to protracted negotiations with a property owner for an easement necessary for construction of this project, staff recommends rejection of bids and will re-advertise the project for bid at a future date.

This project is located in COUNCIL DISTRICT 2.

This M&C does not request approval of a contract with a business entity.

FISCAL INFORMATION/CERTIFICATION:

The Director of Finance certifies that this action will have no material effect on City funds.
