Archer Western Herzog requests the temporary closure of five streets for Phase I development of the TexRail Project. TexRail will offer passenger service from southwest Fort Worth to DFW International Airport to include Haltom City, North Richland Hills, Colleyville and Grapevine via Downtown Fort Worth. This closure request is primarily for safety concerns of the public and workers using heavy equipment to replace concrete paneling, railing and to make drainage and pavement improvements at railroad crossings. The five locations are as follows: Schwartz Ave, from NE 32nd to NE 33rd, August 16, 2017 - September 17, 2017 Deen Rd, from NE 32nd St to Long Ave, September 4, 2017 – November 25, 2017 Decatur Avenue, at NE 23rd / Samuels, October 1, 2017 – November 25, 2017 NE 29th St, from Hays to Decatur Ave, Nov 13, 2017 - Feb 28, 2018 Decatur Avenue, from NE 31st to Dewey Ave, February 24, 2018 – May 15, 2018
Local businesses will be notified of the closure and detour route and electronic message boards will be in place prior to closures. Street closures in excess of ten-days require City Council approval. Transportation & Public Works Traffic Management has reviewed and concurs with this request.
These temporary closures are in COUNCIL DISTRICT 2.
