The Fort Worth Aviation Minimum Standards are intended to protect the level and quality of services offered to aircraft owners, pilots and the public at large. The FAA recommends that airport sponsors establish reasonable minimum standards that are relevant to the aeronautical activities being conducted at the airport. On July 22, 2014, the City Council approved new Minimum Standards for the Fort Worth airports after a thorough development process which included a consulting company, airport staff, the Airport Advisory Board and airport tenants. To ensure that the Minimum Standard document remains current, it will undergo a routine review and update every three years. During the process the document is comprehensively reviewed by Staff and compared to industry standards to ensure the best and highest quality standards for the Fort Worth Airport System. The Aviation Department's proposed amendments to the Minimum Standards document include the removal of various sections that were deemed as unnecessary or sections that did not require enforcement standards. Also included in the amendments are clerical changes and updates. Other changes to this document were made in an effort to streamline it so that it will better reflect the manner in which our tenants use the airports. A public meeting was held on June 14, 2017 to discuss the proposed revisions to the Fort Worth Airport Minimum Standards, comments were accepted and addressed.
These airports are located in COUNCIL DISTRICTS 2, 6 and 7.
