Reject All Bids Received for the McLeland Tennis Center and Rosemont Park Improvement Project (COUNCIL DISTRICT 9)
RECOMMENDATION:

It is recommended that the City Council reject all bids received for the McLeland Tennis Center and Rosemont Park Improvement Project.
 
DISCUSSION:

The purpose of this Mayor and Council Communication is to authorize the rejection of all bids received for the McLeland Tennis Center and Rosemont Park improvement project.

On May 25, 2017, June 1, 2017, and June 8, 2017, the project was advertised in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram. On June 22, 2017, the City of Fort Worth received four sealed bids for the construction of the project. After analyzing bids received Staff has determined that all bids exceed the project budget.

The Park and Recreation Department recommends rejecting all bids. Staff has reviewed the project scope and made necessary adjustments in order to meet current budget. This project was re-advertised for bid on July 27, 2017 and the bid opening will be held on August 31, 2017.

The project is located in COUNCIL DISTRICT 9.

This M&C does not request approval of a contract with a business entity.

The Director of Finance certifies that this action will have no material effect on City funds.
